Taco Bell has been in talks for a couple months now about having a location in Japan. They announced back in March that they were opening a store in the Shibuya district of Tokyo.
Well the day has finally come and Taco Bell’s Snapchat has been documenting this historical moment.
As with every international restaurant, there will be “Japan-only” menu items. Some of these include shrimp and avocado burrito and taco rice.
According to reports, there are no set prices but combo meals will cost about ¥800 or $6.70 in American money (which obviously doesn’t fit into my dollar menu budget).
The Taco Bell franchise ended just as quickly as it began in the 80’s, only having remaining locations on military bases.
The people of Japan can now experience the pleasure of the after-effect from downing a couple of 5-Layer Burritos. Congratulations!
